The Swoon YouTube account uploaded a video of their interview with Shin-hye today. How does Seo-hae (her character in “Sisyphus”) and Shin-hye (herself) differ from each other? Are they totally different or somehow the same? To find out, see some highlights regarding her interview below.
First
question was to describe Gang Seo-hae – her character in “Sisyphus” (her latest
drama) in one sentence.
But
when the second question was asked (photo below), she laughed and took time to
think. Then answered: “someone ordinary” because per her, she is not that unique.
After describing her drama’s character and herself, it’s now time to know more about their difference and/or similarities:
Does
Shin-hye have “Strong Survival Skills” skills like Seo-hae? She mentioned that
her survival skills are not that bad (provided a situation). To sum it up, she
said that:
For
question regarding “Willing to do anything for her loved ones”, she said that she
will try to do everything (in her power) because she do not want her loved ones
to get hurt. Sometimes she wants to avoid difficulties but other times it makes
her act bolder.
She mentioned that she is a “quick learner” whenever there is something that she is curious about or interested in. However, she lacks persistence – she gets tired easily because she learned it too quickly. But no worries because she trying to find a solution regarding this.
When she was asked if she is an “Ice Queen”,
Do you always carry "snacks" around? She mentioned that Seo-hae do it in order to survive but she do not carry snacks often, However,
Why?
Because she usually not drinking enough water. So, she is trying to drink a lot
these days.
Regarding the statement: "Unwavering towards her goals despite obstacles". Shin-hye said (with a smile on her face) that:
She
wants to choose the slow route if she can. If it does not work out, she will
give up easily. However, if she really wants to do it, she will take a break
first and try to approach it in a different way.
She was given two choices to the question what would she do if:
She opted to “pretend to live in blissful ignorance”. Because per her, sometimes it is better not to know.
Moving on to the question, “If you had the chance to go back to the past through the uploader, would you?”
To continue her answer, she said that “I am who I am now… I like it as it is now.”
She chooses not to because it would be easier if she did not know anything about the future.
Per her, she would get curious about the person. Moreover, she will try to find them and their situation.
Regarding situation if, “Your best friend and co-CEO is emotionally unstable after his brother’s death, causing your company’s stock price to plummet. What would you do?” First thing that she would do before anything else is:
If there is a difficult situation…
She
would like to take a step back and try to find a solution (different from
Seo-hae’s character). Then, she will move forward again when she is ready.
What
is more crucial to have when faced with an enemy stronger than you?
To support her answer, she added that she could appear out of nowhere and swiftly beat the enemy. She would be
able to avoid her enemy’s attacks by constantly teleporting.
Shin-hye said:
“It’s hard to give a definite answer… Some things only work out when you try to your best. And sometimes things still do not work out even when you do...”
